How we quote
Most quotes start with a photograph. A site inspection is only needed where the site or the scope calls for it, and where it is, the fee comes off your order in full.
What we need to start
Photographs
The entry straight on and from the side. A phone photograph is fine.
A rough measurement
The height from the ground to the threshold, and how much space there is at the bottom.
The suburb
So we know whether the site sits inside the Melbourne metropolitan area.
Any date it has to meet
A discharge, a practical completion, an opening.
Anything you already have
An occupational therapist's assessment, an access consultant's report, a defects list or drawings, where one exists.
Nothing formal
Formal drawings are not needed. A photograph and a suburb is enough to start.
What comes back, and when
An indicative price within one business day. That is enough to take to a funding body, a client or a head contractor to find out whether the job is worth progressing.
An indicative price is not a firm price. It is based on what you sent, and it moves if the site turns out to be different.
When a site inspection is needed
Photographs are enough for an indicative price. They are not enough to order a ramp from, because the length of a modular ramp follows the measured rise, and the layout follows the ground and the space available.
A site inspection comes before a firm quote where:
A ramp is being ordered
Modular components are configured to the measured rise. An error at this stage is an error in the delivered ramp.
The ground is unclear from a photograph
Falls, soft ground, steps of differing heights, or obstructions at the bottom of the run.
The scope covers more than one item
A path of travel with several items on it is measured once, together, rather than in pieces.
It is a construction or fitout program
Sequencing, site access and the practical completion date are worth working through on site.
The site inspection fee

The fee covers the measure and the assessment, which is real time on site. It comes back to you in full the moment you go ahead, so on a job you proceed with, it costs nothing.
What you get
A firm price for the scope described in it. A quote issued after a site inspection is a firm price, not an estimate.
On ramp orders, payment is 50 per cent deposit on acceptance and the balance on completion. Hire is paid before delivery.
