What we are aiming for
This site is built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the international standard for web accessibility.
We have not yet completed formal testing against that standard, and we are not claiming conformance until we have. The practices below were followed at design and build time. This statement will be updated with a proper conformance position once a dedicated testing pass has been done.
How we built it
- Real HTML structure. Proper headings, landmarks and form labels, so screen readers and other assistive technology can navigate the page rather than guess at it.
- Keyboard operable throughout. Every link, button and form field can be reached and used without a mouse, and the focus indicator is always visible.
- Contrast checked at design time, not audited afterwards. Every text and background pairing on this site has a measured contrast ratio.
- Nothing conveyed by colour alone. Links are underlined, not just coloured, because our brand colours are too close in lightness for colour alone to distinguish them.
- Text resizes to 200% without loss of content or function.
- No motion that cannot be turned off. If your device is set to reduce motion, this site respects it.
- No pop-ups, no auto-playing media, no chat widget.
How we tested it
A dedicated testing pass has not been carried out yet. The practices listed above were applied while the site was designed and built, but have not been verified afterwards with a screen reader, a keyboard-only pass, a contrast audit or a 200% zoom check. That testing is planned; this section will list exactly what was done and found once it happens.
Automated checking tools were not relied on alone. They catch a fraction of what matters, and the rest needs a person.
Known limitations
We don't yet have a tested list of specific issues, because the testing pass that would find them hasn't been run. Until it has, please treat this page as an interim statement rather than a clean bill of health, and tell us directly if anything on this site gives you trouble.
Documents. Some documents we provide, such as manufacturer instructions and warranty information, are produced by others and we cannot control their accessibility. If you need any document from us in a different format, ask and we will provide it.
